The idea of forming a community based film enterprise to support the work of the Youth 2000 Project [Y2K] was originally conceived by a young person in 2004. After a couple of years of activity Green Banana lay dormant, only to be resurrected by a group of film aficionados last spring, and we’ve been going from strength to strength ever since.

We work with a sliding scale of professionals – from recent graduates to established professionals  - allowing us to keep film accessible for all. Aimed in particular at the third sector, we pride ourselves on producing work with integrity, without losing the values associated with solely ‘commercial’ companies.
